Ok guys, here's a show you don't want to miss! I'll be playing at one of my favorite joints in Beaumont tonight, Madison's on Dowlen, from 8-10. It gets better.. I'll be sharing the stage tonight with a very talented duo known as the Pin-ups. With the very talented Jacob Robless accompanying the unbelievable Norma, a great show will surely be provided.

We'll be taking turns all through the night, so you'll definitely get the chance to hear both acts. And what better place to be?! Madison's is fully party equipped with pool tables, large projector screens, washerboards, and of course a great selection of food and drinks. (Not to mention a lovely wait staff). So come on out, have a good time, and listen to some great music. Hope to see y'all there!

April Show Lineup!

Hey guys! I apologize for not having posted in a couple weeks. The month of March was a busy one! I was glad to see those of you who made it out for all my shows, especially those who made it to the Birthday Bash on March 30th! That was a great time and seeing you all made my birthday so much better!

For those of you who didn't make it out, I hope to see you at one of the many shows I'll be having this month! You can check the schedule for the entire show lineup!

Here's a couple highlights for the month: On April 22 at The Logon Cafe in Beaumont, I'll be playing after one of the most talented musicians that visits the area: Rhett Butler! Rhett is truly an act you have to see to believe! Ten fingers, two hands, and an audience in awe! Make sure you don't miss this one! Rhett will be playing from 8 to 10, and I'll follow up until about midnight! Hope to see y'all there!

Another "you don't want to miss this one" for the month will be my gig for the following evening, April 23 at the Oasis Coffee House in Bridge City. I'll be opening for award winning Texas singer/songwriter, Robert Frith! For those of you who know Robert, you know you won't want to miss this show! For those of you who don't, believe me, you don't want to miss this show! Robert is an amazing singer/songwriter, a wonderful guitarist, and sings with soul and passion. New Venues And Upcoming Shows!

Hey guys! I'm starting to get quite busy and I wanted to make sure and keep you all updated on upcoming venues and shows! The past couple of weeks have been very productive and have opened doors for my appearance at several new venues!

I will be making fairly regular appearances at the Tropical Grill in Port Arthur for their margarita nights on select Wednesdays. Keep your eyes open for my shows at this joint! It is one you do not want to miss! I've played the venue twice so far, and it truly is a great, fun, bumping little place! They have wonderful food, a full bar, a dance floor, and a wonderful atmosphere. All this combined with the live music and you're guaranteed a fun filled evening! I am scheduled to make an appearance at this venue on Wednesday, February 16.  I hope to see you all there! Come on out and have a blast!

I've also recently booked myself for the Logon Cafe in Beaumont! This is the happening place down on Calder Avenue! With a great menu, a full bar, pool tables, and not to mention wonderful coffee, it is the perfect weeknight getaway retreat. I actually started my performance career at this particular coffee shop, so it's a very cool thing to be debuting the venue once again! I am booked to appear here on Thursday, February 10. This venue will charge a five dollar door fee, but it is most definitely worth it! I can guarantee a wonderful time! I hope you all can make it!

Last but not least, I'm now making my way into Louisiana's performing scene! I have secured a spot at a very hip restaurant, Luna Bar and Grill, in Lake Charles, LA. What a cool little joint! Menu items named after planets of our solar system, an outdoor stage that rocks the house, and walls adorned with memorabilia from all of the greatest musicians (great taste guys!), all make this joint a very bumping place to be! I will be performing here on Wednesday, March 2 for the weekly acoustic night. If I get enough folks in the joint they may be considering me for a main stage performance, so all that can make it, please do! Let's pack the house!

Don't forget about my usual monthly venues, Sanderson's Restaurant in Nederland and Oasis Coffee House and Cafe in Bridge City. I will be appearing at Sanderson's on Saturday, February 12, and again at the Oasis on the following Saturday, February 19. I hope you all can make it! I always enjoy playing these great venues! See you all soon!

January Shows

Wow, thanks so much guys for coming out! What a great turn out for both nights! Keep an eye out for postings of new shows for February and, hopefully, some new venues! Also don't forget about the CD's. They're coming very soon! Only a couple more weeks in studio! We will be having a CD release bash as soon as they're ready so make sure you watch for those dates as well! I'll be offering CD's at a lower price and it will be a once in a lifetime save! Also the bash will give anyone and everyone an opportunity to have CD's signed and talk with me about recording the album! It will be a blast!

Upcoming Shows for January!

Hey guys, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year! I know I've been extremely busy, so as things have started to slow down I've only booked myself for two public shows this month. So make sure you don't miss them! I'll be playing Saturday, January 15 at the Oasis Coffee House in Bridge City, and Saturday, January 22 at Sanderson's Restaurant and Bar in Nederland. I'll be playing some new covers and some new originals, so you don't want to miss it! I hope to see you all at one or both of my upcoming shows!

A Hero's Homecoming

What an honor this was! When Mrs. Kirby Cruse approached me at an open mic event, I had no idea she would be offering such an opportunity to make a difference and show my gratitude to one of our army veterans. Mr. and Mrs. Cruse happened to come in for an open mic night at the Oasis Coffee House in Bridge City and I happened to play the song I wrote for my mother, (although I'm learning it has become a song for any mother who hears it).

As I played through the song, the punch line of the tune being, "I'll keep hoping my mother's prayers will bring me home", I noticed Mrs. Cruse tearing up in the audience. After my performance, she approached me with the story of her son, SFC George Cruse III, an army veteran who served three tours overseas.Even with many close calls with hidden explosives, George continued to fight for our freedom. She explained that, after missing six Christmases, he would be coming home for good and their Church, Echo Church of Orange, would be celebrating his homecoming the Sunday after Christmas.

Mrs. Cruse connected with my song in a way that touched my heart, so naturally when I was asked to play it for her son's homecoming, I couldn't pass it up. What a wonderful opportunity! What a chance to express my appreciation for a man who gave so much for his country! This is why I do what I do!

For any who are searching for a place of worship, Echo Church in Orange is one I would most definitely recommend. It is such a warm, welcoming congregation, with a pastor whose sermon I find highly entertaining. Most of all, it was such an honor and a privilege to speak to George, express my gratitude, and meet his wonderful wife and, of course, little Colt Cruse.

Thanks to all the members of Echo Church for their wonderful hospitality, to Kirby Cruse for allowing me to play and giving me this wonderful opportunity, and most of all to SFC George Cruse III for all he has done for our country!
